Overview
I initially joined WeAreKitty (TIPi Group) as a contract Frontend Developer in June 2022 and was quickly promoted to Lead Developer after 1 month, as the task and project grew in complexity whilst we hired a team of developers.
For our client, Recast, I built a decoupled web application with NextJS as the client-side frontend and WordPress Dashboard as the backend CMS. The WordPress CMS required lots of custom PHP scripts within the admin dashboard to replicate the styling of the frontend NextJS application and meet requirements of advanced CMS in WordPress.
An overview of roles:
- Headless CMS with WordPress on AWS Cloudfront/Lightsail
- ReactJS frontend with staging and production instances using NextJS framework on Vercel and static AWS Cloudfront/S3
- Managing 4 frontend developers after building project foundations
As the Lead Developer, I made 500+ NextJS PR contributions on Github and 1000+ updates on WordPress, whilst managing the AWS services (S3 Buckets, Lightsail, Cloudfront) and deployments with Vercel for staging and Cloudfront for main.
