Overview
I was recruited by TAKUMI as a mid-senior software engineer, to help rebuild their web and app platforms.
The role included improving UI/UX components and adding new functions throughout the platform. During this time, I led and built several new features within the platform, whilst refactoring the existing codebase from Javascript class functions to Typescript function components.
Sadly, the company is undergoing financial difficulties in H2 (Q3/Q4) 2023, as a result of losing their largest clients - which resulted in 50%+ of the companies workforce leaving due to TAKUMI's bank balance being unable to support their staff.
An overview of tasks:
- Rebuild and refactor existing platform from Javascript class functions to Typescript function components.
- Design and build new pages, functions and UI/UX components within the platform, adding more value to the clients and working with various stakeholders throughout the business.
